Choose Torchic as your starter

Torchic is one of the three starter choices at the beginning of the Littleroot story. It is not listed as a standard wild encounter in the current route database.

• Save after the choice and before leaving the opening sequence.
• Use the starter’s type coverage to plan the second and third party slots.
• Do not download a separate ROM or mystery-gift file to obtain it.

Team-building note

Torchic carries Fire typing. Build around real battle roles and the next Gym matchup rather than treating type alone as a complete moveset plan. The move-tutoring interface can widen coverage when a compatible move is available.
