Modern systems in the current EA
The route ends around Mauville, but the build already includes several systems designed for a longer Pokémon journey. Use these guides after learning their save and clock boundaries.
Day & night cycle
Time of day changes the look of Hoenn and can affect encounters.

Plant berries and return after roughly eight real-world hours.

Use the Day Care near Mauville and manage Eggs from the PC/Box tools.

Trade directly with another player; both sides need compatible network conditions.

Revisit stronger leader teams from the second floor of a Pokémon Center.

Use the Change Move interface for TMs and compatible moves.

Your lead Pokémon can appear beside the trainer in the overworld.
Safe testing rule
Back up the save before testing network, clock or compatibility behavior. Change one variable at a time so a failed trade, berry timer or controller experiment has a clear cause.
